Security forces in North Sinai killed six extremists and arrested 31 others in six days, the Armed Forces Spokesperson Tamer al-Refaei announced in a press statement on Monday.
The killing and arrest of extremists took place in crackdowns between September 16 to 21, he added.
Sixty-five hideouts, 56 motorcycles, three car bombs, and nine IEDs belonging to extremists were destroyed during the crackdowns, Refaei said.
He added other explosive materials, electronic devices, 6 kgs of heroine, and 22 kgs of marijuana were seized.
