Sisi awards China’s ambassador the Order of the Republic

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi awarded China’s ambassador to Cairo, Song Aiguo, the Order of the Republic in recognition of his efforts and role in supporting Egyptian-Chinese relations.

Spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Rady said that the honoring came on the occasion of the end of the Chinese ambassador’s term in Egypt, lasting nearly nine years in Cairo, during which he contributed to the promotion and strengthening of relations between the two countries.

The Chinese Ambassador expressed his deep appreciation and sincere thanks to President Sisi, Rady stated.

Aiguo added that he accepts this honor not only for his efforts but for the Chinese government and people as well, reflecting the development of bilateral relations between Egypt and China to advanced stages and an unprecedented strategic relationship.

The ambassador expressed gratitude and thanks to the Egyptian officials for their cooperation and support, as well as towards the people of Egypt.
