Ambulances transfer six wounded to Ras Ghareb hospital

Hurghada hospital received on Monday three ambulances coming from Ras Ghareb hospital carrying six people who were badly wounded in a bus accident.

Medical sources said they had received 42 victims, with seven people in critical condition. The bus had overturned south of Ras Ghareb city on the coastal road.

Fourteen ambulances arrived at the accident scene and a police report was filed. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. 

Government reports said that the number of car accidents in Egypt was 15,578 in 2013, up 0.4 percent from a year earlier. At least 6,716 people were killed in 2013 and 22,411 others were injured.

Traffic accidents are usually blamed on reckless driving.
