Bad weather expected for Sunday, Cairo 18C

Meteorologists predict temperatures to continue decreasing across Egypt on Sunday.

Dusty winds, rainfalls, and turbulent waves are expected.

Cold weather is expected for the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, and Cairo until northern Upper Egypt, milder at southern Upper Egypt in the daylight hours and growing colder by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 17C in Alexandria, 18C in Cairo, 21C in Qena and 23c in Luxor and Aswan.

Low and medium level clouds are expected to increase for the northern parts of the country, accompanied by rainfall on the northern coasts, Sinai Peninsula, Lower Egypt, Cairo and parts of northern Upper Egypt.

Winds are predicted to be northwestern and active on most parts of the country, blowing up sand and dust on different parts of in the south and east. It will also disrupt maritime navigation on the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be rough and range between 2.5 to 3 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 to 2.5 meters in height, with southwestern surface winds.
