Brotherhood suspends cultural activities until after elections

The Muslim Brotherhood group has suspended its cultural activities in order to concentrate on upcoming parliamentary elections.

But the group decided to continue performances of the play "Make Way" at theaters owned by its Freedom and Justice Party.

“We don't represent the Brotherhood,” said Ali al-Gharib, director of the ‘Drama Theatre’ group that performs the play. The content of the play pertains to the elections, as it depicts remnants of the former regime running in them.
