Cold weather continues into Saturday

Meteorologists predicted more cold weather across Egypt on Saturday, with temperatures expected to grow cooler at night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 15C in Cairo, 16C in Alexandria, 17C in Qena and Luxor, and 18C in Aswan.

Frost is expected to cover farmland in central Sinai, and low- and medium-level clouds will increase across the country’s north, possibly accompanied by rainfall.

Heavy rain is expected along the north coast and parts of northern Upper Egypt.

Winds will be mostly western and active, disturbing sand and dust in open areas. Winds are also expected to be active in the Mediterranean, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to turbulent, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, while waves the Red Sea are predicted to be turbulent, ranging between 2.5 and three meters in height, with northwestern surface winds in both seas.
