Cold weather expected for Friday, Cairo 17C

Meteorologists predict cold weather on Friday across Egypt during daylight hours, while it will be warm in southern Upper Egypt, growing cold by night in all parts of the country.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 18C in Alexandria, 17C in Cairo, 19C in Qena, 20C in Luxor, and 21C in Aswan.

Frost cover is expected on plants in central Sinai. Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts. Low and medium-level clouds are expected in the northern parts of the country.

Winds are expected to be mostly southwesterly and moderate, being active on the northwestern coasts, blowing up sand and dust in some areas. Winds will also be active on the Mediterranean Sea, disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, with southwesterly surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be low to moderate and range between 1 to 1.5 meter in height, with northwesterly surface winds.
