Cold weather with rains expected for Monday, Cairo 18C

Meteorologists expect cold temperatures in the northern parts of Egypt to northern Upper Egypt. However, warm weather is expected across most of the country on Monday, with very cold temperatures in all regions throughout the night. Frost cover is expected on plantations in central Sinai.

Mist will affect visibility on Monday morning in different parts of the north and will be dense in some areas.

Low and medium level cloud cover is predicted for the northern parts to northern Upper Egypt accompanied by rainfall on the North Coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo and the Halayeb triangle.

Southwestern winds are anticipated to be active in most parts of the country, potentially disrupting maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be rough and range between 2.5 to 3 meters, with northwesterly surface winds on both.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows: 18C in Cairo, 18C in Alexandria, 19C in Qena, 19C in Aswan and 20C in Luxor.
