Comedian gets 2 months for assaulting oil station worker

The Heliopolis Misdemeanor Court sentenced comedy star Maged al-Kedwany to two months in jail or a fine of LE1000 on Sunday for assaulting a worker at a fuel station.

Investigations had revealed that the actor slapped the worker in the face and insulted him in front of his colleagues.

While the worker said Kedwany’s action was unjustified, the actor, admitting the incident, said the worker opened the toilet door on his girlfriend.

Though a medical report said the worker sustained bruises to his eye, Kedwany denied that he caused him physical damage.
