Damietta Port considers buying LE400 million dredger

The head of the Damietta Port, Ayman Saleh, said the management is considering buying a LE400 million dredger to dredge the waterway of the port on a regular basis.
 
The annual silting is up to 21 million cubic meters of sand, which affects the entry of ships into the port, especially in light of the New Suez Canal, he explained, which should increase the number of ships coming to port.
