Egypt court convicts singer of evading taxes more than LE1.32 million

The Tax Evasion Misdemeanors Court on Monday convicted singer Saad al-Sagher of evading taxes more than LE1.32 million.

The court sentenced Sagher to one year suspended imprisonment and fined him a sum equivalent to the evaded taxes.

On October 8, 2018, the court sentenced Sagher to two years imprisonment on LE50,000 bail and fined him the equivalent of the taxes due.

The prosecution charged Saghir with evasion and concealment in the management of his work between 2007 to 2015.
