Egypt’s Health Ministry reports fourth case of bird flu

Minister of Health and Population Adel Adawy reported Egypt's fourth bird flu case in 2014 on Monday. A three-month-old girl from Giza was isolated at a hospital after showing symptoms of the disease.

"The baby started to suffer from a fever, sore throat, cough and vomiting on 22 September," said the minister. "Her family took her on 25 September to the outpatient clinic of Abbasiya Chest Hospital where doctors found out she was exposed to dead birds."

Adawy added that the girl's health is now stable and improving.
