Egypt to increase exports to Sweden: Trade Minister

Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar held a meeting with Sweden’s Ambassador to Egypt Jan Thesleff and several chairmen of Swedish companies on Sunday to discuss increasing Egyptian exports to Sweden.

Nassar added that they also talked about increasing Swedish investments and enhancing bilateral relations between Egypt and Sweden in the field of commerce.

He clarified that Egypt would export several industrial and agricultural products to the Swedish market, aiming to reduce the trade balance deficit between the two countries.

Nassar pointed out, “The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Sweden reached $541 million during January-August 2018. Meanwhile, Swedish investments amount to $133.5 million in 121 projects in the fields of industry, telecommunication, financing, construction, services, tourism and agriculture.”
