Egypt wins Berlin Film Festival Robert Bosch Foundation Prize

The Egyptian-German documentary film “Amal,” which is directed by Mohamed Siam, won the Robert Bosch Stiftung Best Documentary award at the Berlin Film Festival on Sunday.
 
Other notable wins go to the German-Jordanian short film “The Parrot,” directed by Amjad al-Rasheed and Darine Salam and the German-Lebanese animation prize winner “Clean up the Living Room We’ve Got Visitors,” directed by Ghassan Halawani.
 
Each winner has been awarded 70,000 euros.
 
The Robert Bosch Stiftung foundation awards some of the biggest prizes in Europe. It allocates some 70 million euros every year to support projects in international cooperation, education, society, culture, health and science.
