EgyptAir plane to be replaced after malfunction in Paris

An informed source from EgyptAir said a malfunction occurred during flight no. 800 MS on an Airbus 300/330, after it took off on Sunday from Charles de Gaulle airport at 3:30 pm Paris time.

The plane was then returned to the airport.

“A decision was taken to send another airplane that will depart Cairo airport on Monday at 1 pm for the passengers' comfort. The alternative airplane will carry the 259 passengers back to Cairo after obtaining all necessary permissions from authorities prior to landing at Charles de Gaulle airport,” the source said on Monday.

All passengers were hosted at hotels near the airport until the rescheduled flight is ready, the source added.
