Sisi, Minister of Defense discuss armed forces

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held a meeting with Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki and Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid Hegazy on Wednesday to discuss the affairs of the armed forces. 

Official Spokesperson for the Presidency Bassam Rady said that Sisi hailed the heroism and sacrifices of military personnel in defending the homeland and supporting efforts for comprehensive development in all fields.

Rady added that Sisi asserted the importance of training combatants in the armed forces according to modern scientific methods as they are the cornerstone of combat efficiency.

During the meeting, Sisi also said that he has followed up on the training programs of the military faculties and institutes, which give support to the armed forces.

He asserted that the government works toward establishing a modern state that meets the ambitions of the Egyptian people.

Sisi underscored that the state takes care of the families of those who sacrificed themselves to defend the security and stability of Egypt.
