February’s inflation rate increases by 1%

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) said the inflation rate in February increased by 1 percent to score 146.4 points, compared to 145 points in January.
 
Also, the annual inflation rate went up to 10.2 percent.
 
CAPMAS attributed the increase to a 0.2 percent rise in food and beverage prices.
 
According to CAPMAS, the inflation rate went up by 1 percent in urban areas and by 0.9 percent in rural areas in February.
