Government follows up transferring ministers to New Administrative Capital

 

Egypt’s Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting on Sunday with the ministers of Housing, Communications, Transportation, and Planning, along with the Chief of the Armed Force Engineering Authority Mahmoud Nassar, to follow up construction works of the governmental district in the New Administrative Capital in New Cairo.

The government will transfer the minister’s headquarters to the Administrative Capital in one stage, followed by the governmental bodies, Ismail said. He also stated that the country’s bureaucratic bodies will witness a comprehensive development process, in addition to implementing modern administrative systems during the transfer.

Ismail stressed that the governmental district should be provided with different technical equipment according to international standards.

Minister of Planning Hala al-Saed presented a report on cooperation efforts among the different ministries and bodies to identify what they need.

Chief of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Kamel al-Wazir said that 12 Egyptian construction companies will participate in constructing the governmental district, revealing that construction rates of buildings of ministries, bodies, Cabinet, House of Representatives reached around 37%.
