Hot, rainy weather expected for Sunday, Cairo 36C

 

Meteorologists anticipate hot weather and rain on Sunday across the country.

Milder temperatures are expected along the north coast, with hottest temperatures at southern Upper Egypt in the daylight hours, growing mild by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are; 31C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 42C in Qena, 44C in Luxor, and 45C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning. Low-level clouds are expected in most parts of the country, accompanied by light to moderate rainfall on western coasts and parts of Lower Egypt, Upper Egypt, and South Sinai.

Winds are expected to be northwestern and moderate. It will be active on the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, with northeastern surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 to 3 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds.
