Hot temperatures expected for Saturday

Meteorologists predict moderate temperatures for the northern coast and hot temperatures for Cairo, Lower Egypt and the north of Upper Egypt during daylight on Saturday, and very hot temperatures for the south of Upper Egypt.

Temperatures will grow colder by night throughout the country.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 31C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 40C in Qena, 41C in Luxor, and 41C in Aswan.

Mist will impact visibility during morning hours in the northern parts of the country. Low- and medium-level clouds are anticipated for the northern parts of the country.

Winds will be mostly northwestern and active across the country, and may disturb sands and dusts in the south of Egypt and south Sinai and disturb the maritime navigation in the west of the Mediterranean sea.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate, ranging between 2 and 2.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
