Hot weather expected for Monday

Meteorologists expect hot weather in Cairo, Lower Egypt, and northern Upper Egypt and very hot weather across southern Upper Egypt during daylight on Monday.

Weather will be moderate along the northern coasts and will grow milder at night across the country.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 30C in Alexandria, 35C in Cairo, 37C in Qena, and 40C in Luxor and Aswan.

Mist will impact visibility in the morning in the northern parts of the country, with low-level clouds anticipated.

Winds will be mostly northwesterly and moderate, active on the western coasts, in southern regions, across South Sinai, and in the Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea, disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate to rough and will range between 1.5 and 2 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough and will range between 2 and 2.5 meters with northwesterly surface winds on both seas.
