Hot weather expected for Monday, Cairo 30C



 

Meteorologists expect hot weather to prevail on Monday across Egypt. Milder temperatures are expected along the North Coast, with the hottest temperatures in southern Upper Egypt during daylight hours, growing mild by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows: 29C in Alexandria, 30C in Cairo, 36C in Qena, 37C in Luxor and 38C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning. Low-level clouds are to be expected in the north, accompanied by rainfall in the far western parts.

Winds are expected to be northwesterly and moderate, but active in the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate and range between 1 to 1.5 meters in height.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and range between 2 to 2.5 meters in height. Surface winds will be northwesterly on both seas.
