Hot weather expected for Sunday, Cairo 34C

 

Meteorologists expect hot weather to continue on Sunday across Egypt.

Milder temperatures are predicted along the north coast, with hottest temperatures in southern Upper Egypt in the daylight hours, growing mild by night.

Temperatures predicted include 31C in Alexandria, 34C in Cairo, 38C in Qena, 41C in Luxor, and 42C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning. Low-level clouds are expected in the north.

Winds are expected to be northwestern and moderate. They will be active on the North Coast southern parts, Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting the maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and between 2 to 2.5 meters high.

Surface winds will be northwestern on both seas.
