Hot weather expected for Thursday, Cairo 35C

Meteorologists expect hot weather to prevail on Thursday across Egypt. Milder temperatures are predicted along the north coast, with hottest temperatures in southern Upper Egypt in the daylight hours, growing mild by night.

Temperatures predicted include 32C in Alexandria, 35C in Cairo, 39C in Qena, 39C in Luxor, and 40C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning. Low-level clouds are expected in the north.

Winds are expected to be northwestern and moderate. They will be active on the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, possibly disrupting the maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be low to moderate, ranging between 1 to 1.5 meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to rough and between 2 to 2.5 meters high.

Surface winds will be northwesterly on both seas.
