Hurghada receives its first flight from Vienna

Governor of the Red Sea governorate Ahmed Abdallah received the first flight from Swiss airlines at the Hurghada International Airport, coming from the Austrian capital of Vienna and carrying 210 tourists.

Airport officials and a number of security leaders received the tourists and distributed roses to them.

Abdallah welcomed the tourists, wishing them an enjoyable stay in Hurghada.

He stressed the importance of this event, which help greatly increase the number of Austrian tourists in the coastal governorate. The governor added that the opening of a direct line from Vienna to Hurghada would attract tourists and save time and money, they they can use during their holidays in Hurghada.

A flight from Vienna airport to Hurghada will operate on a weekly basis. It will increase gradually to a daily basis from September.
