Israeli tourists deported after requesting residence in Egypt, ceding nationality

Security services deported on Saturday two Israeli tourists after requesting residence in Egypt and refusing to leave after end of their vacation in Taba resorts.

The tourists expressed wish to give up their Israeli nationality and live in Egypt.

The 30-year old and 40-year old tourists requested living in Egypt claiming they suffer ill-treatment in Israel.

One of them said she is being beaten and tortured by her husband in Israel and that she does not want to return back, while the other complained about the bad livelihood in Israel.

Police report was filed. Their request was sent to the national security agency and sovereign authorities which rejected the requests. Both were deported via Taba crossing on Saturday.
