Jupiter, Venus visible in Cairo Saturday

Jupiter and Venus will be visible Saturday night in Cairo, said Egypt’s national astronomy body.

Ashraf Tadrus, head of astronomy at the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the “worth seeing” phenomenon will take place from sunset until 9:30 pm when the crescent moon, Venus and Jupiter will line up close to each other on the western section of Cairo’s sky.

The distance between each celestial body will range roughly from 5-6 arc degrees, according to Tadrus.
