LE12 bn in tax evasion repatriated

The Public Prosecution said in a statement that it has repatriated LE12 billion in cases of tax evasion, as well as 900 acres of state property, 13 residential buildings, 16 apartments and 250,000 square meters of land in Sharm el-Sheikh that belonged to fugitive business tycoon Hussein Salem, in addition to ​​42,000 square meters of land that was owned by businessman Gamal Omar, all in the framework of combating corruption and protecting public funds and property.
