London lord mayor in Cairo for talks on bilateral cooperation

London Lord Mayor Michael Bear arrived in Cairo Tuesday morning, leading a delegation on a visit to Cairo that will include meetings with Egyptian officials.

Bear had previously explained that his visit to Cairo aims at exploring prospects for collaboration between both countries, with the UK offering Egypt its expertise in education, health and training.

Bear expressed his country’s readiness to provide Egypt with all the assistance needed for its stability.

He noted that he is acting as a commercial ambassador for the UK and is anxious to maintain stable relations with countries that enjoy special ties with Britain, including Egypt.
