Military production minister inaugurates Egypt’s first factory for artificial grass

Military Production Minister Mohamed Saeed al-Assar, alongside Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy, inaugurated the first factory in Egypt and Africa for the manufacture of artificial grass on Monday.

The factory is affiliated to the Heliopolis Chemical Industry Company, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Military Production.

The new factory’s chairman Gamal Bahgat said during the inauguration ceremony that the factory was established by the Military Production Company for Projects, Engineering Consultancy and General Supplies in accordance to the contract concluded in April 2016 between the Ministries of Military Production and Youth and Sports, and Misr for Central Clearing, Depository and Registry Company (MCDR).

The factory will provide the needs of the Egyptian market from the artificial grass and export surplus production abroad.

Bahgat explained that the factory will use raw materials of the highest quality in accordance to international standards in the production of artificial grass.
