Moderately heavy rains expected for Friday

Egypt’s meteorologists predict moderate weather on Friday across the northern coasts, accompanied by heavy rainfalls across the northern areas and moderate rains across Lower Egypt and Cairo. Torrents are expected for some areas in Sinai.

Moderate weather is expected for the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt, and moderately hot weather is expected across southern Upper Egypt during the daylight.

Weather will grow milder throughout the country by night.

Maximum temperatures expected for the following cities are as follows: 23C in Alexandria, 24C in Cairo, 30C in Aswan, 28C in Qena, and 30C in Luxor.

Mist will impact visibility in the morning across the country’s northern parts.

Winds will be northwestern and western in several areas. They will be moderate and active on the northern coasts and in Lower Egypt, Cairo and the north of Upper Egypt as well as on the Mediterranean Sea, possibly disrupting the maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate in the eastern areas and will range between two and 2.5 meters, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate and will range between 1.5 and two meters. Northwestern surface winds are expected for both seas.
