Moussa demands Eastern Jerusalem be international city or Palestine’s capital

Amr Moussa, chief of the 50-member constitutional panel and former Chief of Arab League, has called that Eastern Jerusalem become an international city with no supervision from any country or that it become capital of the autonomous Palestinian state.

Moussa added that the Arab and international stance regarding Jerusalem is undivided and resilient. The occupied Jerusalem is an Arab (Islamic-Christian) city with its Aqsa mosque, church, streets, buildings and residents.

In a statement on Tuesday, Moussa added that the Jordanian Kingdom is authorized to take care of holy sites and that the Israeli maneuvers have become a new challenge to international legitimacy.

Israel always claims Jerusalem to be its eternal capital, while the Palestinian Authority has sought to establish the country of Palestine with its capital of Eastern Jerusalem.
