Naomi Campbell embarks on four day Nile cruise

British supermodel Naomi Campbell began a 4-day Nile cruise on Monday from Luxor to Aswan. During the trip Campbell will visit Esna, Edfu, and Kom Ombo temples.

Campbell along with 11 friends had dinner Sunday night at the Queen Hatshepsut temple. Luxor Governor Samir Farag was invited to the dinner but did not attend.

Sources said the 40-year-old model and her friends went to the Temple of Luxor on Sunday. Campbell previously chose the 3400-year-old temple as the site for her wedding ceremony, scheduled for 7 December.

Campbell will wed 47-year-old Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronen in a lavish ceremony attended by Hollywood stars, public figures and celebrities. The couple will spend their honeymoon at the Winter Palace Hotel overlooking the Nile south of Luxor Temple. French President Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni made their first public appearance at the hotel.

The Victorian-style hotel was built in 1886 and has 7 suites that overlook the Nile.

Since 1997, Campbell has been involved in charity work in sub-Saharan Africa. She worked closely with South African icon and former president Nelson Mandela.
