National initiative to combat harassment in Egypt’s transportation begins Sunday

 

The Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation will host Sunday a conference launching the national initiative to confront the dangers of harassment in public transport, the first and largest initiative of its kind in Egypt and the Arab region bringing together local and international partners.

The conference will be attended by Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, President of the National Council for Women Maya Morsi, the UN Women Country Representative in Egypt Blerta Aliko, Ambassadors of France, Germany and the European Union in Cairo, Director of the French Development Agency and representatives of the Ministries of Transport and Youth.

The initiative is sponsored by the Ministries of Investment and International Cooperation, Transport and Youth, the National Council for Women, the United Nations Women’s Program, the European Union, the French Development Agency and the German Agency for International Cooperation.
