Belayim Petroleum Company (Petrobel) announced Wednesday it will start using a new gas field in the Nile Delta area of Blatim in November.
The new field's production rate will be 45 million cubic feet of gas per day.
Another new field in Baltim will join production in two months, with a production rate of 15 million cubic meters of gas per day.
"We completed the drilling of the Nidoko field (northwest 2) in the Nile Delta region, and we reached to the deeper layers…in August 2015," said Petrobel head Atef Hassan.
The production rate of the Nidoko field (northwest 2) exceeds 88 million cubic feet of gas per day, Hassan added.
Hassan pointed out that the company was working on Nidoko field (northwest 3). The Nidoko (northwest 3) field is expected to join production by the end of November at a rate of 70 million cubic meters of gas per day, according to Hassan.
