New report says mobile users in Egypt increased to 99.7 million by end of 2013

Egypt's mobile market gained 3.6 million subscribers and 240,000 internet users, while fixed-line services decreased by 150,000, according to a new report on Sunday from the Ministry of Telecommunication.
 
A new report said that mobile users increased to 99.7 million in 2013 from 96.1 million in 2012. Vodafone maintained its market leadership with a market share of 42 percent, while Mobinil captured 34.8 percent and Etisalat 23.5 percent of the mobile market.
 
Internet users increased by 240,000 during 2013, climbing to 2.63 million users by the end of 2013. The fixed-line market continued its downward trend, losing 150,000 users to reach 6.82 million by December 2013, the report said.
