Projects for LE18 bn implemented last year

Housing Minister Mustafa Madbouly said in press statements on Friday that the ministry had invested some LE18 billion in projects that were all completed by the New Urban Communities Authority last year for the first time in the history of the authority, adding that there are projects in the new plan still being implemented, with the value of LE33.2 billion.
 
New Urban Communities Authority Vice President Kamal Fahmy said the ongoing projects include a water purification station in Al-Obour, part of which has already been opened, with a capacity of 200,000 cubic meters out of the projected 400,000 cubic meters per day, at a cost of LE600 million.
 
According to Fahmy, the projects also include a drinking water purification station in New Aswan, with a capacity of 25,000 cubic meters per day, at a cost of LE120 million. 
 
He said the third project is also a drinking water purification station in Assiut,  part of which has already been opened with a capacity of 26,000 cubic meters per day, at a cost of LE20 million. 
 
The last project is a sewage station in 6th of October City, with a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters per day, at a cost of LE220 million.
