Egypt has seen a wave of almost weekly bombings targeting security and public facilities since the ouster of former President Mohamed Morsi in 2013. Authorities accuse the outlawed group of masterminding the attacks.

King Faisal Street also witnessed another bombing on Sunday that killed the deputy president of Egypt’s State Litigation Authority who was said to have been passing by coincidence. The authorities blame the incident on a gas leak.
