Sharm el-Sheikh ready for World Youth Forum

For the past few days, Sharm el-Sheikh, South Sinai, has witnessed a large-scale beautification in preparation for the World Youth Forum, to be hosted by the city on November 4.

A giant celestial dome has been built and green areas created.

Banners with the forum’s slogan were spread in the streets of Sharm el-Sheikh and giant theaters were set up on the sea for the first time.

The city has been prepared to receive about 6,000 participants including presidents, princes, ambassadors, delegations of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations.

Major General Khalid Fouda, governor of South Sinai, said that Sharm el-Sheikh will appear during the forum as a new city that dazzles the world with its beauty, pointing out that all employees in the governorate are working together as a bee hive.

Major General Sabry al-Gammal, head of South Sinai Security Directorate, said the security forces combed over 30 valleys in mountainous areas and closed many rugged mountain paths that may be used by outlaws, as part of a wider security plan to control the exits and entrances of the governorate during the event.

An expanded security conference will be held with the armed forces to discuss securing the forum and participating delegations, Gammal added.

Public figures participated in the promotion of the forum, and posted their photos on social networking sites, inviting youth from all over the world to participate in the forum. They re-published videos of the president speaking about the the role of youth in the next phase in the history of Egypt, under the forum’s slogan “We need to talk “.
