Sisi emphasizes stability, security and social media in Arab-African Youth Platform

Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed on Egypt’s stability during the opening session for the second day of the Arab African Youth Platform, which runs from March 16-18 in Aswan.

He added that these youth conferences were an optimal chance for communication between youth and the state, referring to importance of social media as new tools of communication.

Sisi hinted that the Egyptian state “has not been ready for challenges of the social media networks.”

He clarified that social media would impact stability of Arab and African countries and called on African countries to put stability forward as their main goal.

The Arab and African Youth Platform kicked off Saturday in Aswan under the patronage and presence of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

The platform was founded for youth across Africa and the Arab world to exchange their experiences. Participants will have the chance to discuss various topics of concern to both Arab and African youth, with the aim of fostering Arab and African cooperation.

According to the platform’s website, youth in the Arab region and Africa share a lot of history and present circumstances making cooperation between them essential for the development of their countries.

The agenda of the forum revolves around a number of issues and topics related to the challenges of the Arab region and the African continent especially under the chairmanship of Egypt of the African Union this year.

The forum also includes round-table talks for young leaders and decision makers, providing open dialogue on the most important concerns for Arab and African youth.

The forum also includes many cultural and entertainment events, with tours held for participants.

The Arab and African Youth Platform was founded for youth in both regions to share and exchange their experiences.

Participants will have the chance to discuss various topics that are of concern to both Arab and African youth, with the aim of fostering the Arab and African cooperation. The Arab and African Youth Platform will hold various sessions, workshops, and round table, which will bridge the gap between our young promising leaders and top policy and decision makers.
