Six killed, 24 injured in road accidents across 3 governorates

 

Six people were killed and 24 others injured in three road accidents in various Egyptian governorates due to excessive speeding.

In Minya, four people were killed and seven others injured in a collision on the Eastern Desert Road. Investigations revealed that the victims were traveling in a pick-up vehicle on their way to work in a quarry in the Eastern Mountain of Minya.

In Dakahlia, 10 people sustained various injuries and were taken to hospital in critical condition after a collision between two tuk-tuks on the road of the village of Abu Dawood in Tami al-Amadid city.

Meanwhile, the Beni Suef governorate in Upper Egypt witnessed two road accidents which claimed the lives of two people, while seven others were injured.

In the first incident, five people were injured in a collision between two cars on the Western Desert Road in near al-Wasta city, north to Beni Suef, and were transferred to al-Wasta Central Hospital.

The second accidents killed two people and two others were injured in a collision between two motorbikes in the city of Ehansia west of Beni Suef. The injured were taken to Beni Suef University Hospital and the two bodies to the hospital morgue.

The members of the General Directorate for Traffic moved to the scenes of the accidents, the injured were taken to the hospitals with some in critical condition.

Police and traffic officers returned traffic to normal after removing the crashes from scenes.
