Sudden technical failure delays EgyptAir Boeing flight to Nigeria

A sudden technical failure to a Boeing B737-800 airplane has delayed EgyptAir Flight MS875 heading from Cairo International Airport to Lagos Airport in Nigeria, on Saturday.

A statement from the Ministry of Civil Aviation said that after taking off this morning at 8:45 am from Cairo Airport to Lagos Airport, Nigeria, the captain of the flight chose to return again to Cairo Airport due to technical failure.

Media adviser to the Ministry of Civil Aviation Bassem Abdel Karim said that all  passengers were disembarked and hosted by EgyptAir’s rest houses.

New appointments were made for transit passengers and an alternative plane prepared to carry out the flight at the earliest time, with the company keen to follow all international standards related to air safety procedures for its aircraft.

Karim stressed that EgyptAir places the comfort and safety of its customers at the forefront.
