Sunday forecast: temperatures fall, thunderstorms hit north

Meteorologists are predicting the weather to remain unstable throughout Sunday, with temperatures expected to decline further and heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms predicted on Egypt’s northern coasts.

Rain, however, will probably be less intense in Cairo, the Lower Egyptian provinces and the northern regions of Upper Egypt.

Northwesterly winds will be active in all the regions, giving an added sense of cold and disturbing navigation activities on the Mediterranean and Red seas, where waves are expected to reach heights of 3-3.5 meters and 2.5-3 meters, respectively.

Expected maximum and minimum temperatures: Cairo: 12C/9C, Alexandria: 12C/8C, Luxor: 17C/8C, Aswan: 18C/9C
