Three security personnel arrested for stealing from foreign ambassador: Police

 

The Ministry of Interior announced on Monday that police have arrested three people for stealing gold artifacts from the house of an ambassador of an unnamed country in Maadi.

The unnamed embassy’s administrative officer and translator reported that an earring, two gold necklaces, two diamond rings, a silver tea kettle, two alcoholic bottles and a sum of money was stolen when the ambassador was just about to travel.

Security employees working for a private security company were suspected of committing the robbery. The perpetrators were named as Mohammed, 22 years old, Mohammed 19 year-old, Mahmoud 28 year-old, according to police investigations.

The perpetrators confessed that they entered the house through the ground floor and delivered some of stolen gold artifacts to a jeweler in Hadayk al-Maadi.

Police took the necessary legal measures on the case and intensified the security efforts.
