Turkish students invent special clothes for blind people

Students from the Amasya Technical Sciences Vocational School in Turkey have invented special clothing for blind people, equipped with sensors and an alarm system.

The project was done by 30 students from the Department of Mechatronics at the school.

The clothing warns blind people through an integrated alarm system when they are 30 cm away from another person.

According to the school's director, Fida Onur, the special clothes will contribute in easing difficulties faced by the blind.

He added that the clothes work using a 12-volt battery, pointing out that the students plan to use solar batteries in the near future in order to save energy.
