Two killed, 12 injured in two car accidents

Two persons were killed, 12 others were injured in two road accidents.

Six students were injured in the first accident as they were on board of a car that hit a digger on Asmarat district road in Moqattam, Cairo. The car overturned and the students were taken to Ahly Bank Hospital.

The drivers were summoned to prosecution to testify.

The second accident took place in Giza, where two persons were killed. Another six were injured in a car accident on Fayoum road on Wednesday morning. The injured were transferred to 6 of October Hospital.

Police was notified that a car hit a microbus on Fayoum road. A security cordon was placed around the accident spot and a police report was filed.

Prosecution was notified to conduct investigations.

Egypt has one of the world’s highest traffic accident mortality rates.
