Two killed, 29 Sudanese nationals injured in Luxor road accident

One Sudanese and one Egyptian were killed and 29 other Sudanese were injured in a road accident west of Luxor city, on Sunday.
 
The crash occured between a bus carrying dozens of Sudanese nationals and a truck on the Luxor-Aswan desert road. The bus was heading to Sudan from Cairo.
 
Civil protection forces extracted the injured and the bodies from the bus, according to a statement by the city’s security department.
 
The statement added that the two victims were the driver, who lived in Aswan, and a Sudanese passenger on the bus. Nine of the injured were transferred to Arment Central Hospital, while the remaining 20 people were transferred to Luxor International Hospital. Four people remain in critical condition.
