UAE ambassador gifts patients with 50 iPads during visit to Luxor cancer hospital

The UAE ambassador to Egypt Juma al-Junaibi visited the Shefaa al-Orman Cancer Treatment Hospital in Luxor on Thursday and distributed 50 iPads as gifts for patients.

Junaibi gave the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Shefaa Foundation Hussein Shokry a book entitled ‘Zayed: A Man Who Built A Nation’ on the 100-year anniversary of the UAE founder Sheikh Zayed.

Meanwhile, informing the public of the hospital’s extension progress, Chairman of the Orman Association, Hossam al-Qabbany, stated that the third phase of the hospital will include an integrated emergency building with a section for radiation, which wI’ll accommodate magnetic resonance, sectional rays, digital rays and sonar devices.

The hospital also includes a first-of-its-kind device which measures the osteoporosis levels of cancer patients.

Elsewhere it will have specialized clinics for cardiac diseases, teeth, echocardiography, in order to provide an integrated medical treatment services for cancer patients.

Director General of the hospital, Hany Hussein, said that the third phase will also have the first integrated cancer research laboratory in Upper Egypt, and a nursing academy.
