Unrest forces Arab Summit to postpone meeting

According to the Libyan News Agency, the Arab Summit decided to postpone the upcoming 23rd annual meeting, scheduled to be held in Iraq at the end of March, given the current unrest in the Arab world.

Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi has presided over the summit since the last meeting in March 2010, in the city of Surt.

The revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia, and protests in Lybia, Yemen, and Bahrain necessitated the postponement of the summit.
