US Senator Edward Case visits Egypt’s House of Representatives

On Wednesday Egypt’s House of Representatives witnessed a visit of the first of its kind in more than three years by US Senator Edward Case, a member of the Appropriations Committee of the US Congress.

The US senator met with MP Kamal Amer, head of the National Defense and Security Committee, and MP Karim Darwish, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The meeting discussed the importance of strategic relations between Egypt and the United States and close cooperation in all common issues as well as Egypt’s important and pivotal role in all Middle East issues.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed Egypt’s vital role in fighting terrorism and solving regional problems. The two sides also stressed the importance of continuing and intensifying meetings and consultations between members of the US Congress and the Egyptian Parliament.
